The Conference of Missionary Societies had during the
past few years been giving attention to the future of the work
of the former German missions in different parts of the world and is endeavouring to arrive in each instance at some permanent
settlement, as far as possible with the assent of the original German missions. We are now in a position to submit the pro-
po sals with regard to the former German missions working in
Hong Kong.
